Shipping Boots ...

Horses' legs are the most common area to be injured while trailering; yet most of these painful and expensive injuries can be prevented.  Here we see Joe putting on Montana's shipping boots. These boots have front-leg (short) and rear-leg (long) pieces. They are well padded on the inside and have a tough exterior. Velcro straps are quick and secure. Make certain to put them low enough to cover at least 2/3 of the hoof.  Note: Practice putting these on and walking your horse before you need to trailer him/her!  The morning of your big show is not the time to find you or your horse have problems with the leg protection.
